Melong Municipal stadium

UMS vs Stade Renard (clash of the Champions)

This is a repeat of the 2019 Cameroon Supercup which ended 3-1 in favour of Stade Renard of Melong. The Cameroon cup winners (Stade Renard) is going through a grey spell having won just one game out of three this campaign. There is no change of Fortune with UMS of Loum. The two times Cameroon League one winners have not made their home ground (Loum municipal stadium) , a fortune this season. Uncharacteristically, UMS is yet to pick up a victory in Loum but the momentum shifts slightly to their side after the team obtained a priceless winner against PWD of Bamenda, in Bamenda.

Fireworks, pyrotechnics and flamboyant football will be expected at the Yong Sport Academy stadium when YOSA squares with PWD of Bamenda. It has been termed the derby of the “owner” because the crowd awaits to see who lays the marker on the league one Championship this season. Meeting between the haves and the have-nots

USD vs Avion

The big money spenders this season, Union Sportive of Douala are back on track after defeating Eding Sport on match day 4 in Yaounde. USD captain Samuel Nlend is the first player to hit the five goal mark and has almost singlehandedly contributed six points with inspired displays against TKC and Eding Sport. Avion Academy on their part are beginning to get involved with serious issues as they have seemingly forgotten their off field cash droughts and picked up four out of a possible 6 in their last two games. Captain Mfeugue George will be the man to look out for Avion as he scored a penalty plus a brilliant performance in his team’s 1-1 draw against AS Fortuna.

Apejes Vs Dragon FC

Clash of the “pretentious contenders”

Wednesday, November 6th

3:00 pm

For some time Apejes of Mfou and Dragon sportive of Yaounde have been unerring when it comes to producing talents in and out of the country, a reason for the clash of the “reservoirs” tag.

APEJES straight away are going to miss Dande Junior out on national team duties. The 2016 Cameroon cup winners come into this one on the back of an aching defeat against Fovu. The result of last weekend gives APEJES a report card of two wins and two defeats in four. Anjeh Akoh is the club’s highest goal scorer with two goals these early days. After having started the league on a brilliant footing, Dragon must have ran out of gaz. The boys of Francois Ngoumou are winless in their last two after picking up victories against heavyweights, USD and UMS in their opening two games.

Old Timers Classic

6:30 pm

Canon vs TKC

This game is the biggest in Cameroon, Africa, and perhaps the world. The high profile encounter is between arguably the two most dominant clubs in the history of Cameroon football, with all due respect to Cotonsport. It however comes at a time when the clubs are not only out of form, but maybe they have equally lost purpose. TKC can boast of two draws, two points while Canon’s 3-0 victory against Avion on opening day remains their only maximum points gathered, together with a draw over Bamboutos, taking their points total to four.
