27-year-old Cameroon goalkeeper Horace Sobze Zemo has signed for Canadian Premier League side Athlético Ottawa.

He moves from L’Université Laval, and is the first player from the Red and Golds to join Athlético Ottawa.

He made his debut for L’Université Laval last season and grew in status to become their undisputed first choice shot stopper.

Sobze is expected to be the third choice goalkeeper at Athlético for the upcoming Canadian Premier League season.

He is part of Athlético’s team that has joint the other seven clubs from the Canadian Premier League, currently competing in the Island Games that began on August 13th and will end on September 15th.

The Island Games are held behind close doors at the l’Université de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard in Charlottetown.
