Fans and supporters of Cameroon Football have once again shown their undying love for the game following their massive presence in the season launcher Wednesday March 16, 2022 at the MTN Arena in Mbouda.
The game pitting PWD Social Football club of Bamenda and Bamboutos FC of Mbouda on matchday one of the Cameroon Elite One championship which ended 1#0 for Bamboutos attracted over 5000 Spectators from both teams supporting their clubs in search of points.
It also marked the presence of great men in Cameroon football in the likes of FECAFOOT boss Samuel Eto’o, legendary Albert Roger Mila, Raymond Kalla amongst others including newly appointed Rigobert Song and his coaching crew.
From a distance all around the arena were informed of a grand match via the noise produced from vuvuzelas of fans chanting and hand claps that beautified the game. Again with thousands of supporters standing around the turf, others on buses and some on roof tops, the noise produced thrilled and animated the game, encouraging players to give in their utmost best on the green turf.
With such a turn out and limited number of seats, eventually should fans and football diehards continue such turnouts to support football in Cameroon, the Cameroon football federation FECAFOOT will have to shortlist the likes of Japoma Stadium, Mfandena Arena, Reunification Stadium, Limbe Omnisport to host Elite games.
Subsequently, in stadia earmarked to be constructed by the FA boss Samuel Eto’o, stands will have to be on top priority to enable fans have enough space to seat and enjoy beauty Elite football.
