Potential Indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder Nathan Ngoumou Minpoleu was one of the scorers in his side’s 2-0 win away at Aubagne.
Friday’s round of 32 cup game saw the involvement of at least three Cameroonians though Nathan was the lone starter.
Toulouse FC needed just nine minutes to open score in the quick fire encounter with the ball dominantly in the final third.
Emmanuel Kouadio Koné gave the visitors the lead in the 9th minute ending a sequence of good play from Toulouse FC.
Toulouse FC protected the one-nil lead till the break though both sides could have scored before the break.
Upon resumption for the second segment, the visitors again took control of the midfield winning most of the duels.
Eight minutes into the second half, Nathan Ngoumou Minpoleu scored the second to make it two-nil in favor of Toulouse FC.
With the win nearly in the bag, Steve Mvoue was introduced in the 67th minute in place of the first goal scorer Kouadio Koné.
It was just his second appearance for the Club and he was charged with adding more to the Toulouse FC midfield.
Toulouse kept their lead and also introduced Mvoue’s brother Stephane Zobo in the 79th minute.
The forward’s introduction meant Toulouse played three Cameroonians in the game that ended on a 2-0 score in their favor at tge Stade Francis Turcan.
The French Ligue 2 championship side advance to the next round of the cup.
