This will be a huge sense of excitement and probably nervousness through out 90 minutes and probably penalties if needed when Emmanuel Bosso meets his former team and assistant manager in possibly the biggest game in the 2019 Cup of Cameroon 16th finals.
YOSA will be on the travel to take on their former coach, Emmanuel Bosso and his new side Coton Sport of Garoua at the FECAFOOT technical center Odza on Thursday May 30th.
The two club’s have a great history between them – Unfortunately, the competition must loose one of them at this early stage. The club’s together lay claim to 7 Cameroon cup titles between them;
Cotonsport: 2003, 2004,2007,2008,2011,2014 (6)
YOSA: 2013 (1)
By the standards of Cotonsport, 5 years without laying hands on the trophy seems like forever-YOSA on the other hand have been presented with a golden chance to win the hearts of their fans after completely disappointing regular season.
Road to the round of 16
The two teams were presented with a pleasant draw at the round of 32. YOSA dispatched Laussane SA by 4-0 without the use of stoppage time or penalties, while Coton Sports swept aside Olympique de Meiganga 4-0 in 90 minutes.
Last time out
In the last two years the two teams have been sporadic with their performances. In 2017 UMS of Loum defeated the two teams ‘en route’ to the finals they lost. Union Movement Sportive of Loum beat Cotonsport in the round of 16 before defeating YOSA in the semi finals back in 2017.
In the 2018 edition YOSA was beaten by Unisport by 1-0 in the 16 final-while Coton was bundled out by eventual champions Eding Sport in the quarter finals.
