Cameroon’s representative in the 2021-2022 CAF Confederation cup group stages Cotonsport of Garoua have left Cameroonian soil this Tuesday for Egypt where they will face Al Masry in their fifth group game of this season’s competition.
The boys of coach Souleymanou Aboubakar left the Douala International Airport via a commercial flight at 2pm heading to Cairo where they will face the local side at the Borg El Arab Stadium.
The game will be another opportunity for Coton to seek a first win in this season’s competition after picking three points from three draws and a defeat so far.
It will be the second meeting between both sides with the previous meeting earning in a draw on February 13 in Garoua.
Cotonsport’s delegation is headed by president Fernand Sadou and includes 20 players plus members of the technical and auxiliary staff.
The 16-times champions of Cameroon must win to stay in the competition as any other result will mean elimination for the 2021 semi finalist.
Felix Oukine, Anye Derick and co take on Al Masry at 2PM on Saturday and will return home after to prepare the last group game on April 5, against FC Otoho in Garoua.
Cotonsport must win the next two games to stay in the competition.
