Cameroon’s lone representatives in this season’s CAF Confederation cup Cotonsport of Garoua have returned home from Lome after spending over 24 hours traveling.
The 15 times champions of Cameroon arrived Garoua at 12:45AM on Thursday, December 3 and were received by a number of fans who waited all night for the arrival of their darling team.
Coach Souleymanou Aboubakar’s players then retired to their base after unloading their belongings from the team’s luxurious bus used in the trip from Yaoundé to Garoua.
Kamilou Daouda and his mates are expected to train at the Roumde Adja Stadium in Garoua this afternoon ahead of Sunday’s return leg game at the same venue.
Cotonsport have a two-nil lead from the first-leg encounter recorded last weekend and will be hoping to build on this to secure qualification for the next round of the competition.
Cotonsport vs. Unisport Sokode: December 6th. 15:00 CAT/2:00 GMT. Stade Roumde Adja, Garoua.
But, before we look ahead to this weekend’s game, let’s take a quick trip back to Lome last week when Cotonsport edged Unisport to win three points.
Cotonsport will play their first CAF interclub game at the Roumde Adja Stadium in Garoua on Sunday at 3:30pm.
