Nigeria representative in the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers United suffered a 2-1 defeat to Futuro Kings of Equatorial Guinea in the first leg of their Preliminary Round fixture away at Mongomo, www.kick442.com reports.
Nkama Gregoire scored the first goal of the game for the host (Futuro Kings) in the 46th minute. Futuro Kings doubled their lead in the 68th minute.

Former Enugu Rangers player, Godwin Aguda pulled one goal back for Rivers United in the 77th minute from the penalty spot to reduce the deficit and give the visitors a precious away goal.
The return leg will take place next Sunday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.
