Zambian health authorities have handed results of the Covid-19 routine test conducted on Cotonsport of Garoua players ahead of these Sunday’s CAF Confederation cup clash against NASPA Stars FC.
The medical staff of the 15-times Cameroon champions received the results of the test conducted on Friday evening late into Saturday and no Cotonsport player or staff has been tested positive.
This is a boast to the 27-man delegation Cotonsport has in Lusaka especially the players who square up against NASPA Stars at 3pm local time at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Captain Felix Oukine and mates have the wind in their sails, havin snuffed life out of holders RS Berkane with ease in match-day two last month in Garoua, the NASPA Stars FC game looks set to be an exciting one.
The Garoua giants on a run of four wins and one defeat in their past five away games in the competition take on group-tailing NASPA Stars FC in their third group game of the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation cup knowing a win massively improves their chances of qualification.
Cotonsport challenge winless NASPA Stars at the National Heroes Stadium on Sunday April 4th in a fixture which will see them facing former keeper Loic Feudjo.
A second win for Cotonsport will put them in an interesting situation in the group with six points from three games while NASPA with just a point so far needs a victory to stay in the contest for a Quarter-final berth.
The other group fixture will pit holders RS Berkane of Morocco against JS Kabylie of Algeria with the winner to take a massive step towards progress to the quarter-finals.
