Cotonsport of Garoua trio Bawak Etta Thomas, Narcisse Nlend Junior and Arnaud Sanou Sibiri have been included in the CAF Confederation cup team of Matchday Two.
The Cotonsport boys were sparkling in their side’s two-nil win against holders Renaissance Berkane in match-day two fixture of the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation cup in Garoua.
Nlend made six miraculous saves to deny Renaissance Berkane a goal, keeping his sixth clean sheet I n seven games as Cotonsport comfortable defeated the Moroccans.
Etta in the left-back role had an afternoon to remember making multiple runs in the flanks to create chances for the forwards on the day.
Defensively, the former Cameroon champion with UMS of Loum and ex-skipper of New Stars was simply unbeatable.
Bawak is accompanied at the defense by M Hadhoudi who had an excellent afternoon at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium to help Raja Casablanca beat Nkana by two goals to nil. M Sylla of Pyramids SC who sparkled in their two-nil win against Namungo SC gets a spot in the defense completed by T. B. Amed.
Raja Casablanca’s Ahmed Hafidi, A Djahnit and A. S. Traore complete the midfield trio.
Scorer of a brilliant second goal for Cotonsport of Garoua Arnaud Sanou Sibiri is the third of the Garoua boys picked for the XI in the forward role.
Former Stoke City forward Rahmadan Sobhi who scored one of two goals for Pyramids SC against Namungo FC and D. Hotto complete the team of match-day two.
