Players of Cameroon Elite One outfit Cotonsport of Garoua have all been declared Covid-19 negative ahead of this Sunday’s crucial first-leg final round 2020-2021 CAF Confederation playoffs game against AS Sonidep in Niamey.
Coach Souleymanou Aboubakar’s team recieved the results on Saturday evening from the CAF assigned medical team.
According to the analysis of the samples collected on Friday, all 18 players plus the team’s staff will be available for this Sunday’s game.
It is the first meeting between both sides and likely their most important game of the season.
The return game in Garoua a week later with the winners on aggregate to earn a spot in the group stage of 2020-2021 CAF Confederation cup.
