Cameroon’s surviving representative in the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation cup Cotonsport of Garoua have recorded an emphatic 2-0 win away to Green Eagles in the first-leg of the second preliminary round fixture.
Second-half goals from captain Felix Oukine and Thierry Tchuente from a penalty spot was enough to hand the boys of coach Souleymanou Aboubakar a massive advantage going into the return-leg game on January 5 in Cameroon.
It is the second round in a spin that the Cotonites win away from home.
In the previous round of the competition, the Club picked up the same result away to Unisport Sokode FC but unfortunately lost at home.
The Cotonites returned home on Thursday to begin preparations for the return game which is penciled for the Roumde Adja Stadium in Garoua in 12 days from the date of the first win.
