Egyptian premier league side Al Masry, has stunned DR Congo’s Giant TP Mazembe, in match day two in Group C of the CAF Confederation cup.
TP Mazembe came in to Sunday’s game at the Borg EL Arab Stadium in Cairo as group C leaders, courtsey of their one nil win over AS Otôho D’Oyo last week. Al Masry on their part returned home with a point harvested against cotonsport in Garoua last Sunday.
Coach Mouaine Chaâbani made just one change from the starting XI that played cotonsport in Garoua last Sunday, with Mohamed Abdelaal who started against cotonsport, replaced by Ahmed Abd Elgaber.

Ahmed Abdelwahab, Yaser Hamed, Farid Shawky, Ramadan Mousa, Ahmed Kenawi, Amro Marei, Mohamed Ahmed, Karim Eleraky, Ilyes Jelassi and Haithem Layouni all keeping their places in the starting XI.

TP Mazembe’s Lone goal scorer against Otôho, Richard Emmanuel N’joh, saw yellow at the 12 minute, as his side struggled to close down an ambitious Al Masry side.
A though first half saw both sides returning to the dressing tight at no goal either way.
TP Mazembe made the first changes of the game, with Emmanuel N’joh and Bileko ceding their places to Kinzumbi and Bossu.
Al Masry looked more organized in the second half, and went ahead at the 57 minutes through Yaser Hamed, who beat goalkeeper Ibrahim Mounkoro in a one on one situation.
Al Masry’s first substitution came at the 64th minute, when Muhammed Antar came in for Ahmed Hamoudy. Three minutes later (67) Ilyes Jelassi extended Masry’s lead.
Goalkeeper Ibrahim Mounkoro made a great save later in the game to deny Mohamed Abdelaal.
Mazembe failed to get one for the road, as Al Masry secured massive three points at home.

The other group C game pitting AS Otôho D’Oyo against cotonsport of Garoua, will be played on Wednesday February 23, in Congo.
Cotonsport trained on Sunday morning in Douala, before jetting off for Congo via Rwanda.
Al Masry temporarily tops group C with four points, while TP Mazembe are now second with three points. Cotonsport has one point, while their next opponents Otôho, are bottom of the group with zero point.
