Ghana’s assistant referee Kwasi Acheampong Brobbey has been named by the Confederation of African Football as the only Ghanaian official in the U-20 tournament which will be staged in Mauritania next month.
The 36 year old assistant referee is a staff of Ghana Library Authority who is currently the Head of the Larterbiokorshie branch.
In 2016, Kwasi attended a refereeing course in Switzerland at the UEFA Center of Refereeing Excellence (CORE) and successfully completed with a Diploma in Refereeing.
He had the FIFA badge in 2019 and in that same year, he was invited to the All Africa Games held in Morocco, which he did many games including the third place match.
His invitation to the upcoming AFCON U-20 tournament will be his second international tournament.
The 2021 Total Africa U-20 Cup of Nations is scheduled from Sunday, February 14, to Thursday, March 4, 2021 in Mauritania.
