Intermediate Lions defender Djob Lidjob has lauded CAF for her decision to push forth the African Nations Championship to the 2021 winter.
Colombe’s skipper, Djob Lidjob reacted on the mic of kick442.com after a melodramatic – filled Tuesday, with major decisions taken by CAF executives, via a videoconferencing meeting.
‘CAF took a good decision to postpone the CHAN due to this Covid-19 pandemic,’ Lidjob said.
Most home based players of participating nation’s could already feel the tournament, before a rapid evolution of the pandemic dropped Cameroon and CAF face fist.
Djob Lidjob however feels the CHAN will be more of a spectacular with CAF’s new programming.
‘We couldn’t get our competition this year. CHAN draws comparisons with the AFCON, and the AFCON means celebrations. We just couldn’t play without spectacle.
‘The coach will have more time to work with us. We now have to give our best to be part of this team,’ ended Colombe’s emblematic skipper.
The question of if most players will be there when the competition comes knocking, remains a rhetoric.
Djob Lidjob has been omnipresent in Clement Arroga’s side, as he’s been present in all of the Arroga’s preselection lists. The latter helped Colombe to a wonderful season where they ended 3rd, only behind Champions PWD and Cotonsport.
