The African Soccer governing body has slapped Pierre Aubameyang with USD 10,000 for joking he had been held captive while in Gambia.

The former Dortmund forward and Gabonese captain tweeting ” Just want to know why Gambia took our passports for hours and they keep us at the airport, are we hostage or what? ”

The tweet was accompanied by images of the Gabonese players and officials sleeping on the floor before they were allowed entry.
Despite their 2-1 defeat by Gambia.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan Football Federation has been slapped with a USD 9000 fine after dignitaries Raila Odinga and Vice President William Ruto breached safety and security measures during their Afcon qualifier against Comoros in Nairobi.

Odinga and Ruto both breached security lines and accessed the playing area together with their entourage during the game.

For CAF, the host Nation or club is responsible for order and security inside and around the stadium during and after the game and is liable to disciplinary measures in case of any incidents according article 8 of her Disciplinary Code.
