The African Soccer governing body has slapped Pierre Aubameyang with USD 10,000 for joking he had been held captive while in Gambia.
The former Dortmund forward and Gabonese captain tweeting ” Just want to know why Gambia took our passports for hours and they keep us at the airport, are we hostage or what? ”
The tweet was accompanied by images of the Gabonese players and officials sleeping on the floor before they were allowed entry.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan Football Federation has been slapped with a USD 9000 fine after dignitaries Raila Odinga and Vice President William Ruto breached safety and security measures during their Afcon qualifier against Comoros in Nairobi.
