Cameroon’s representative at the ongoing qualifiers for the CAF Confederation Cup, Coton Sport Garoua has departed the country en-route to Niger. The strong delegation left Cameroon’s economic hub Douala this Thursday, February 11, for Niamey.
Coton sport will face off against AS Sonidep in the first leg of the ongoing qualifiers for the CAF Confederation Cup this Sunday, February 14 in Niamey. The return leg in Garoua comes up a week later.
The Cameroonian delegation that is made up of 25 people, including 18 players is headed Mr Mohamadou Abbo, FECAFOOT’s representative.
The team has included all six Cameroon international who participated at the just ended 2020 Africa Nations Championship. Goalkeeper Narcisse Nlend Junior, Defenders Banga Solomon, Etame Ngombe, and midfielders Thierry Tchuente, Felix Oukine have all been included in the squad ahead of the game, kick442.com earlier reported.
It is important to note that the winners on aggregate will qualify for the group stage of the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation Cup.
