Match day 3 of the Caf Champions league game gets underway this day, Friday February 25,2022.
Al Merriekh are set to go against Al Hilal of Sudan at 5pm at the Al-Salam stadium in Egypt’s capital city, Cairo.
Al-Merreikh haven’t won a match in their last 8 attempts, and Al Hilal Omdurman in their last 9.
Both teams lost one match apiece before the Tuesday clash across all competitions. Al Hilal are third in pool A with 1point while Al Merriekh are last with just a point as well.
Al Merreikh played against Al Hilal four times in this competition before this game. Both teams scored goals on three occasions and failed to score only once. The hosts scored at least a single goal on three occasions from the last five home games in CAF competitions.

On the other hand, AmaZulu hosts ES Setif Friday 25th for the first leg match day three of the CAF Champions League match. Both teams tie at position two and three with a point each.
Even AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy has admitted that ES Setif as a dangerous team to encounter but says their record in African football will not count when the two teams meet at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Friday’s Caf Champions League group B game.
The KwaZulu-Natal outfit opened their campaign against continental heavyweights Raja Casablanca and lost 1-0 away in Morocco.
But they managed to pick themselves up against another perennial contender in this competition in Horoya AC last week, winning 1-0.
Now, McCarthy and his boys are up against 1988 and 2014 champions Setif.
AmaZulu go into this match fresh from Tuesday’s 0-0 Soccer premiere League draw against TS Galaxy.
Tuesday’s match came four days after they had beaten Horoya.AmaZulu comes into this clash in a poor run of form- winning just two games after five matches across all competitions. ES Setif is not better off because it has won two games from the previous five games in all competitions.
Amazulu has gone ten matches without losing a single game at home in all competitions. Amazulu won its last two games including a CAF challenge against Horoya.
There have been not more than three goals in Amazulu’s previous four CAF Champions League matches. ES Setif played no game with more than two goals in the last five games across all competitions .The main problem facing the visitors is goal-drought. The visitors only scored two goals from their previous five away games.
Lastly Raja Casablanca will knock heads will knock heads with Horaya who are bottom of Group B with no point. Raja Casablanca who are currently top of the poo with six points from two games welcomes the current Guinea’s Ligue 1 pacesetters on Friday evening in another CAF encounter in group B.
For records, Raja Casablanca is on a run of nine undefeated home matches across all competitions. They were first to score on three occasions in the last five home games in all competitions.On the other hand, Horoya conceded the first goals in its last two CAF matches on the road. The visitors conceded the first goal against the current Botola Pro table pacesetters.
