Governor Nyesom Wine on Thursday at the Rivers State Government House promised to a whopping sum of twenty million to the players of the pride of Rivers if they beat their rivals and opponent, Enyimba of Aba at the CAF Champions League.
Report from Porthacourt based journalist, Sotonye Jamaica, reveals the Governor also donated buses to the state based teams (Rivers United and Rivers Angels).
The Governor also gave a ambulance each to the two clubs and a bus to the supporters club of Rivers United and Rivers Angels.
Hon, Boma Iyaye while speaking after tje presentation says the New coastal buses presented to Rivers United and Rivers Angels is the first of its kind in Sub- Saharan Africa.
Rivers United Coach Stanley Eguma Coach says Rivers United will reciprocate the governors kind gesture by winning laurels for the state.
Besides, Governor Wike has promised 10 million naira each for any away win recorded by Rivers United and Rivers Angels.
