Sherif, Mahdy, and Mohamed were responsible for inflicting AS Vita club with a spanking in matchday 4 of the ongoing CAF Champions League competition. Playing on home soil, the Congolaise side were no match for the African football powerhouse Al Ahly from Egypt in their group A matchday 5 fixture.
It took the Egyptians 6 minutes to open the scoring through Sherif while Magdy was always lurking before scoring with just 19 minutes on the watch.
Vita club for the most part enjoyed more possession of the ball (64%) in Ahly’s half of the pitch but proved futile as they lacked the cutting edge to finish the numerous occasions they could fashion. Ahly with a wealth of experience did count on their counter-attacking abilities to provide a killer blow through Mohamed in the 78th minute of Play.
Simba FC and Al Ahly top group A with 10 and 7 points respectively, While Vita club with just 4 points in 4 group outings is trailed by Al-Merrickh.
Matchday six comes up on April 2nd with the following fixtures: Simba Vs Vita club and Al-Merrikh Vs Al Ahly.
