In regards to the one-match finals of the Total CAF Champions League and Total CAF Confederations Cup 2019/2020, the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT have officially submitted a bid to host the Total CAF Champions League finals.
The football authorities will want to host the finals of the biggest African club competition at the newly constructed Japoma Stadium in the city of Douala.
Cameroon is competing to host the Total CAF Champions League finals with Morocco, who are proposing to host at the Mohammed V Sports stadium in Casablanca and Tunisia who wants to host at the Rades Olympic Stadium in Tunis.
Meanwhile, Morocco is the only country that submitted a bid to host the Total CAF Confederations Cup finals at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Stadium in Rabat.
The adhoc committee chaired by CAF’s president Constant Omari, will review and evaluate the bids taking into consideration accommodation, infrastructure, medical facilities and many others.
The final decision on who to host will be made public on March 12 by the CAF Emergency Committee.
It should be recalled that, after crowd troubles in last year’s CAF Champions League finals, the executive committee of CAF decided on a single match for the finals of its interclubs competitions.
