One of Nigerian CAF Confederations Cup representative, Kano Pillars of Kano were well beaten by their host ASC Jaraaf in the first leg of the preliminary round.
Kano Pillars talked tough ahead of the fixture and it look like they meant business David Ebuka gave them the lead in the 12th minutes against the run of play but the lead only lasted for 5 minutes before Zaky Bassene equalised in the 17th minutes.
Samba Diallo gave the just the lead for the first time in the game in the 38th minutes to leave the score at 2-1 going to the half time.
Libassa Gueye 80th minutes goal mailed the Nigerians to the wall, leaving them with a big task in the second leg.
Pillars will now hope to turn things around in the second leg when ASC Jaraaf visit the City of Kano next weekend.
