The people Elephant of Aba secured their place in the group stage of the Caf Confederation Cup after a 4-2 aggregate win over TS Galaxy at the Trained at the Mbombela Stadium.

New signings Darkwah of Ghana and former Plateau United player, Usule Martins scored in the second half to give Enyimba a 2-1 win away from home.

The team had won 2-0 at home a week ago to stand a good chance of qualifying.

The team arrived at 5:06 am yesterday at the O.R. Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg but were up beat for the game as they trained at 3:00 pm at the Mbombela Stadium.

The match had ended 0-0 at the end of the first half with after several pressure mounted by the Aba boys and saves from Afelokhai in the other half of the field.

Darkwah’s goal came late in the 76th minutes after an excellent build up which saw Olisema slip a ball through to Darkwah, who chips over the keeper to put Enyimba one foot into the group stage.

Just a moment after missing an open net, Usule picked a pass from deep, dribbles his marker, then the keeper, and made two for the people elephant.

However, the home side pulled one back in the 89th minutes in what proved a consolation goal at the end.
