Nigeria sole representative at this season CAF Confederation Cup, Enugu Rangers are through to the final qualifying round of the tournament after a 3-1 home win in the return leg of their latest qualifying round.

After losing the first leg 2-1 in Libreville, Gabon, they knew that a 1-0 to 2-0 win will be enough for the Enugu based side to scale through AS Pelican hurdle. But Rangers were pegged back early in the first half as they went behind in the 5th minute via goal from Dertin Amore. Ifeanyi George Equalised for Rangers in the 18th minute as first half ends at 1-1 (2-3 on aggregate) in favour of AS Pelican.

The second half was a different experience for Rangers as they came out all blazing in search for goals that will take them to the next and final qualifying round.

In the 51st minute, Nnamdi Egbuhor put Rangers ahead for the first time in the tie. Rangers sealed their qualification with a 57th minute goal from Ibrahim Olawoyin to emerge victorious 3-1 (4-3 on aggregate).

Rangers will now wait for the draws of final qualifying round where they might be paired up with any club that drop from the CAF Champions League.
