Match-day four of six for CAF Confederation Cup games shall go under way this Sunday March 13, 2022, across the continent. A total of eight battles have been programmed as clubs continue the race for more points hoping for a next stage participation ticket.
Bottom placed Cotonsports of Garoua with two points in three games and fresh from a 1#0 defeat will face their previous opponent Congolese side TP Mazembe at the Roumde Adjia Stadium hoping to grab more points and keep their hopes up. TP Mazembe leads group C with Six points two above Second place Otoho d’Oyo and Al Masry and four difference with Cotonsport.
Second place Al Ahli Tripoli of group A, will travel to face bottom place Zanaco. Fresh from beating Zanaco at home 2#0, Al Ahli Tripoli is optimistic things will play to their favor as they hope to by pass Pyramids FC who leads pool A with nine points picked up in three consecutive victories.
2020 CAF Confederation Cup winners RS Berkane popularly known as the Orange Boys will be traveling to Tanzania to face Simba SC after beating them at home 2#0 in their previous outing. RS Berkane leads pool with six points, two above Simba who is second place and USGN third, while ASEC rocks the red zone with just two points.
2015 CAF Confederation Cup runners up and South African based club Orlando Pirates Football Club at 5:00pm in South Africa will be struggling to take the lead facing bottom placed Royal Leopards who is desperate for a first point in the CAF CC. Orlando Pirates are runners up in group B with six points, a point behind Al-Ittihad leader of pool B, two above JS Saoura and four above their opponent Royal Leopards. The pirates beat Leopard in previous outing 6#2 to mount the second spot.
2020 CAF CC runners up Pyramids FC will have it hot trying to maintain the 1#0 win over Tunisian side CS Sfaxien three times winners of CAF CC 2007, 2008, 2013 and Runners-up in 2010 in their previous battles. Pyramids leads pool A with nine points, followed by Al Ahli Tripoli with six, third Sfaxien with three and Zanaco is yet to have a taste of a point.
