The month of March is a busy one in the Lions and Lionesses Den. Matches have been programmed for various categories of the national team.
Qualifiers for both the U17 and U20 for FIFA women’s World Cup has been slated for this Month. After recording a four nil win over São Tomé on March 1st 2020 in Stade National du 12 Juillet, the U17 girls will return home to wait on their opponent in the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium on March 14.
U20 ladies will also be in action as Sunday March 22, Liberia will warmly welcome the baby lionesses who are anxiously waiting to display all they have learned under coach Charles Kamdem. The U20 girls will return for the home encounter to clash with their counterpart on Friday March 27 in the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium. A win for the girls will be another success for Cameroon Women’s Football.
The girls of coach Alain Djuemfa are so far the only team left for Cameroon with all hopes to qualify for 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. They have enjoyed a good ride in the qualifiers eliminated the likes of Ethiopia, DR Congo and Ivory Coast to reach this stageof the qqualifiers.
They will welcome the Shepolopolo of Zambia on the 5th at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium while the return leg will be away from home on the 10th of March as they look to seal their place in the Olympic village for the first time since 2012.
Though the host for the 2021 AFCON, Cameroon plays qualifiers to gain more experience. Conceição after making his 33 man’s squad with two local league players, will be on the roll Thursday 26 March in the reunification stadium in Douala. They will later move to Maputo on Monday 30th for the round four qualifiers game.
The Economic capital Douala and political capital Yaounde shall face be will enjoy football this month.
Amidst the very busy schedule, the Cameroon football federation through it’s coordination led by former Indomitable Lions Bill Tchato is doing a great job to see that the teams activities go as planned.
