Busoga United’s Ismail Mugulusi is set to become KCCA FC’s latest signing, and impeccable sources reveal that he is set to undergo a medical a medical on Wednesday.
Mugulusi is expected to put pen to paper on a three-year contract, and the Uganda Hippos youngster along with his representatives are said to have spent Tuesday night in Kampala in order to keep time for the scheduled medical on Wednesday morning.
“On Tuesday evening, Mugulusi arrived in Kampala where he spent the night, getting set to undergo a medical at KCCA the following morning,” a source close to the player told Football256.
Both parties have agreed to terms on a three-year contract that will run until the end of the 2022/2023 season.
An agreement between KCCA and Busoga is said to have been reached days ago, and the player will sign a contract worth four million as sign-on fees and a UGX 700,000 monthly salary.
Mugulusi can play on either flank but his preferred position is upfront as a striker. His well-timed runs and speed make him a nightmare for defenders.
The striker came through the youth system at Busoga United’s junior team (Jinja SS) and in the few games he has played for Busoga in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, he has impressed.
He also played at the U20 CECAFA tournament hosted by Uganda in Gulu in 2019.
