Ahead of the start of the Sierra Leone premier just three (3) days from now, business Guru and football philanthropist, Ibrahim Jalloh, has on Thursday, 24th January donated two full sets of jerseys each to all participating thirteen (13) premier league clubs.
This donation which include the two sets of jerseys that will cater for the teams for both home and away matches took place at the presidential lounge of the Siaka Stevens Stadium during the one day seminar organised by the Premier League Board (PLB) for club secretaries and their media officers.
In his speech after the donation, *Ibrahim Jalloh* said, he is elated to have got the chance to help in the development of his country’s football, he said this donation despite coming late was an idea of his late father who had great passion for the local game and had wished to help the growth of football this way.
He called on the teams to accept his small token and further promised to do more annually.
“This presentation is a start of many presentations in subsequent leagues”‘ he said.
“This presentation will be done for all categories of football in the country when their competition starts”, he confirmed.
Representatives of the Premier League Clubs present expressed happiness in receiving the donation while they promised to make great use of the items presented.
Appreciating Ibrahim Jalloh’s gesture, acting president of the Sierra Leone football Association (SLFA), Brima Mazola Kamara said, himself and the association as a whole are happy to receive this donation on behalf of the Premier League Clubs. He thanked Jalloh for this great gesture and further called on more Sierra Leoneans to come onboard in the help to promote the game.
Premier League Board (PLB) chairman, Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai also thanked Ibrahim Jalloh for his magnanimity to the local game and continued calling on more philanthropists to help in the development of the beautiful game.
