The Burkina Faso football Federation has dismissed Seydou Zerbo aka Krol from his role as the trainer of the intermediate national selection.
The decision was arrived at this week as a consequence of the West African Nations unsatisfactory performance during the 2021 African nations championship. Burkina failed to make it out of the group stages after picking up just four points from three games against Mali, Cameroon and Zimbabwe.
Oscar Baro who was manager of the country’s Under-20 selection gets promoted to the rank of the coach of the intermediate team.
The erstwhile Association Sportive Bobosiolaso trainer worked wonders in his time as trainer of the Under-20s epitomized by winning at the 2019 All Africa games and taking the Junior Stallions to this year’s Under-20 AFCON tournament.
Baro is expected to right the wrongs of his predecessors as Burkina Faso up their strategies to make it to the 2022 African nations championship in Algeria and why not better the performances in 2018 and 2021 as they failed to qualify from their groups.
