The Under 20 team of Burkina Faso touched down at the international airport Nouakchott in Mauritanie for the CAN U20 on Friday.
The WAFU B finalist are in Mauritania for the U20 Africa-Cup 2021 which starts on Sunday.
The team trained in Morocco in preparation ahead of the CAN tournament where they played a friendlies against Cameroon playing one all draw and against Gambia where the lost 2-1 before leaving for Mauritania.
Forward Djibril Ouattara of RS Berkane, defender Issa Kabore of KV Mechelen and Salifou Diarrassouba of FC St. Gallen will be some of the BurkinaFaso’s players to watch.
BurkinaFaso are placed in group B with Tunisia, Namibia and Central Africa Republic where they begin their campaign on Monday against Tunisia.
The Colts of Oscar Barro ‘s aim is to take one of the qualifying places for the World Cup at this tournament.
