Southwest regional championship side Buea United FC have ” met denizens of the different neighborhoods of the municipality over the weekend as part of their four clubs plus Kick442.com initiative to sensitize and support the inhibitants of the Municipality in the fight against the CoronaVirus pandemic.
Buea United FC officials led by president Valery Kadji moved across different neighbourhood of Buea distributing hand sanitizers and Facemasks as part of their support in the fight against the spread of the CoronaVirus.
Speaking to Cameroonnewsonline.com, one of the beneficiaries, Fru Paul instantly confessed he has become a fan of Buea United FC.
“We are so happy to benefit from this initiative from an amateur club in Cameroon. It is a wonderful initiative and I assure the Buea United FC management that henceforth, I am a supporter of the club. I am so touched by this humanitarian gesture from these clubs,” he stated.
We must look beyond our club and serve the needs of our community by supporting those in need.
“There are Cameroonians who have nobody to support them in times like this. We are making sure we are there for them in our little way. It is time to give back to our community that’s why we are here.
The sensitization campaign started on Monday in Tiko with EEMSA and Kick442.com officials, it has since moved to Limbe through Options Sports of Limbe, Kumba through Nkamanyi FI of Kumba and Buea over the weekend thanks to Buea United FC officials.
“As the days go by, we will keep trying to help in our little way. We plan to extend this humanitarian gesture to other neighbourhoods.” Kadji Valery of Buea United FC told Cameroonnewsonline.com at the end Saturday’s event in Buea.
Buea United FC of president Kadji Valery, Options Sports Academy of president Neba Henry, Nkamanyi FI of president Nkamanyi Terence and EEMSA of Tiko of president Dikongue are amateur clubs in the Southwest Regional Championship.
Neba Henry of Options Sports of Limbe has expressed his satisfaction about the first phase of the initiative which ended up luring Destiny restoration football academy of Limbe and Eclipse Company Limited.
“We are very satisfied about the reponse of my colleagues and the reactions we got from the beneficiaries in the different neighborhoods. We hope to do more but more importantly, we hope to win this battle as soon as possible for football to return to the pitch”:Neba Henry of Options stated.
Limbe has registered one suspected case of COVID-19 since the outbreak of the virus this March. Actions of this sort tightens the defense against a strange Covid-19 attack.
President Nkamanyi Terence on his path saluted the reactions of beneficiaries in Kumba.
“We needed to convince some of the persons we met. But at the end of the process, we succeeded in convincing many persons to admit the virus exist and see reasons to respect the measures put in place to fight against the Virus”:Nkamanyi Terence stated.
Just like Limbe and Buea, Kumba has registered at least one suspected case of a person with the virus.
