Potential Indomitable of Cameroon defender Bright Akwo Arrey-Mbi has become the youngest player to feature for Bayern Munich in the prestigious UEFA Champions League.
The 17-year-old defender made his competition debut in tonight’s 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid in the match-day fixture played at the Wanda metropolitan stadium in Madrid.
Arrey-Mbi was part of the back four for a much-changed Bayern Munich side and lasted an hour before being replaced by former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry in the 61st minutes of the game.
The beast as he is nicknamed demonstrated his class in the encounter, justifying his selection by coach Hansi Flick.
The native from Southwest Cameroon with potentials to represent the Central African nation or Germany has been a revelation in the Bayern Munich team in the past six months.
He was a part of the Bayern Munich team that won the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League trophy beating PSG in the final.
Bayern Munich top the Champions League group with 13 points from five games so far in the competition.
