President Jean Kuete of Stade Renard of Melong has appointed 2018 Cameroon League 1 champion Ebwelle Dinge Bertin as head coach of the club on a 2 year deal.
Bertin Ebwellé Ndingué is a retired professional footballer who represented Cameroon at the 1990 FIFA World Cup and also took part in 1992 African Nations Cup. He played club football with Tonnerre Yaoundé, Persisam Putra Samarinda and Olympic Mvolyé.Upon his retirement as a player he coached Tonnerre Yaoundé and Cotonsport of Garoua most recently. He won the 2018 League one title.
He was also in charge of the Cameroon Under 17 team at their AFCON tournament in 2017 in Gabon and brings huge experience to the club.
The man with the best win rate(60.18%) in the 2018 season in Cameroon joins the current cup holders to prepare for their CAF Confederation debut campaign which begins with a 2 legged tie against Congolese giants DC Motema Pembe in less than a fourtnight.
Coach Souleymanou Aboubakar helped the Melong side win the Cameroon cup last season BEATING AS FAP in the final but he has been shown the exit door for undisclosed reasons.
Ebwelle and his newly acquired troops resume preparation for the new season on the 1st of August in Melong.
