kick442.com has gathered that World Football Governing body FIFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Cameroon following alleged misconduct of the country’s Women’s Football team in last week’s World Cup 16th Final game against England at Valenciennes.
Cameroon suffered a 3 nil defeat in the game but the victory for England was overshadowed by controversial officiating which provoked moments of alleged misconducts from the Cameroonian players.
Augustine Ejangue has publicly apologized for one of such incidents after the return of the Cameroon team today.
The Cameroon team threatened to walk out of the pitch twice following goal actions for and against them while Yango Grace appeared to have handled the referee in a separate incident while Ejangue allegedly throw spittle at Toni Duggan.
The Cameroon Women’s team will anxiously wait to hear from FIFA in the days ahead while preparing for upcoming competitions.
