Officials of the Cameroon football federation have this Wednesday published a release terminating their working relationship with the entire technical staff of the Under 17 Lions of Cameroon.

The release states that the executive committee of the federation decided ass stated above because of the poor performance of the Cameroon team at the ongoing Under 17 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Libiih’s team entered the competition as Champions of Africa but disappointed their fans with three defeats in three games in the competition exiting in the group stages.

FECAFOOT decision

Deputy coach Libiih Thomas, fitness coach Nankam Olivier, team manager Lucien Metommo, goalkeeper coach Owono Foe, Dr’s Peter, Bidias and Ekani have all paid the price for the failure.

Coach Libiih’s technical staff won two UNIFFAC trophies and an AFCON title in 2 years in charge of the team.

The Lions will have a completely new staff when Cameroon enter the upcoming UNIFFAC tournament later.
