The president of Yong Sports academy of Bamenda, Yong Jacques has officially thrown his support to the Syndicate of elite club’s in Cameroon, known by it’s French acronym as SYCEC. In a message through YOSA’s supporters forum, Yong Jacques says his team had already arranged for logistics and transportation, but will not be making the trip to Yaoundé, for what he called solidarity to their union, due to the failure of last minutes negotiations to strike a compromise, with the conflicting parties.
Here is Yong Jacques full message, culled from YOSA’s supporters forum.
“My dear fans, let me officially inform you through this forum that YOSA in solidarity with our trade union of elite clubs will not be making the trip to Yaounde to open the championship against Eding FC. This decision has been taken because last minute attempts to solve the problems plaguing our elite football. We were ready in terms of logistics and others but must stay in solidarity with our union that initially started the boycott of the championship until a general assembly of the Cameroon Professional Football League is held. I know this decision might hurt some of you but it has been taken solely for the interest of our football.”
YOSA was supposed to kick start the new football season against Eding Sports of the Lekie on Saturday, at the Yaoundé military stadium, but now the start of the league is looking increasingly uncertain.
