Tanzania Premier League Champions, Simba SC have official announced hiring Dennis Kitambi to assist Patrick Aussems in their quest to conquer African football.

Head coach, Aussems has not had an assistant since October last year following the sacking of assistant coach from Burundi, Masoud Djuma because of the misunderstanding in the technical bench.

But on Friday night Simba SC announced that Kitambi will be the new assistant coach who will help the Belgian to take the club to another level days after the 1-0 win against Al Ahly in the group stages of CAF Champions League.

Before joining Simba, Kitambi worked for a short time under Stewart Hall at Saif Sporting Club of Bangladesh.

He also coached Kenyan giants AFC Leopards and worked under Hall at Azam FC where he joined from Ndanda FC where he kick started his coaching career.


Kitambi will start his tenure at Simba this in the hotly contested local derby (Kariakoo Derby) against Yanga at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam for the bragging rights.
