PWD social club of Bamenda has secured the services of striker Fonyuy Lukong Ahudu from league one side Eding Sports of the Lekie.
Kick442.com has been reliably informed that PWD’s top scorer last season Fonyuy Lukong Ahudu is returning to the club just months after he left the newly promoted league one side, to join Eding Sports of the Lekie. Ahudu was instrumental for PWD’s comeback into the league one championship, scoring 10 of the 37 goals for the Abakwa boys, as the finished second in the league two.
Ahudu signed a two years deal with Eding sports, and has featured in over six matches this season for the 2018 Cameroon cup winners, but is yet to put his name on the score sheet. Kick442.com has also stumbled on a copy of his liberation letter signed by Eding Sports president MVOGO Saint Fabien, which clearly indicates that the player is now free to continue his football with the Bamenda based club.
Sources within PWD have disclosed that the player is expected in Bamenda this Thursday March 21, 2019, to finalized details of his contract. His coming back will add more firepower to “Ngia P’s” attack, which has scored just six goals in eight matches played this season. PWD has largely depended on experienced striker Kongnyuy Jude for goals this season, but will now have more options upfront.
The former Kumbo strikers man joined PWD before the start of the 2018 season from Cosmos Academy of Bafia, but struggled for form in the first round of the championship. He only got off the mark in the second round of the championship, were he scored 10 leagues goals notably with brace’s against Cosmos, matelots, Etoa Meki and national polytechnique and further goals against the Ngoundere University and Panthere. He also scored three times in the Cameroon cup last season. Some football pundits have describe Ahudu as a “second round player”. He is expected to help the Abakwa boys in their mission to stay in the top tier championship.
