University of Buea FC head coach Nicolas Asongu has told kick442.com that students of the institution who were kidnapped on Wednesday morning have been released but they are in an unstable health condition.
Their release comes just over 24 hours after the students were picked up by unidentified Gunmen from the institution’s main football stadium Wembley. The said students were practicing for the upcoming University Games at the time they were taken away. Our sources say their release was secured after negotiations between the students family,their kidnappers and other parties.
”They were set free just after 8 PM this Thursday evening, but they are in an unstable health situation.Some of the students have sustain injuries,some are psychologically unstable and need support.They are 20 students in number, Some of the students are at the General Hospital in Buea. We thank God they are back with us,it has been the most difficult 24 hours for me,but I pray God heal this children fast for them to continue with their normal life.” coach Nicolas Asongu said
Medical reports from Doctors in the above mentioned hospital is going to provide more details about the students situation.
