The communication unit the Cameroon Volleyball federation, FECAVOLLEY have announced that 18 French-Cameroonian,Victoire Nama Atangana has agreed on the 30th of January 2019 to play for Cameroon.
Born on the 6th of April 2000 in Romans,the 1m86 tall ,83Kg Receiver/attacker will join the squad of the reigning champions the next time coach Jean Rene Akono assembles his team for camping ahead of the Qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Games which takes place as an intercontinental tournament this year.
18 year old Atangana has also played for France at Under 19 and Under 20 Level but will henceforth represent her Fatherland.
This is another success story at the level of president Serge Abouem’s Federation after he also played a pivotal role to convince 20 year old German-Cameroonian Vanessa Agbortabi to choose the Cameroonian sporting Nationality over Germany.
The spiker’s decision was announced last year.
