The President of Cotonsport of Garoua has decided to suspend the club’s head coach Souleymanou Aboubakar and Sporting Director Nohou Moussa with immediate effect.
A release signed this Sunday evening after the club’s 1-2 defeat to Avion Academy which extended their winless streak to 11 games confirms Gabriel Hamann will take-over as interim trainer of the defending champions while the search for a permanent manager begins.
It has been a dissapointing start to the season for the 16-times champions of Cameroon as they are winless in 2022 and have lost six and played five draws in their 11 matches this calendar year.
Souleymanou Aboubakar who replaced Ndoumbe Bosso in November 2019 won their 16th title last August and guided them to the semi final of the TOTALENERGIES CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in seven years.
Gabriel Hamann in his third stint as deputy coach of Coton will make his first outing on Wednesday against Fovu of Baham in Bafoussam.
