Former Nigerian U17 player Edun Quadri Oluwasegun was on a chat with kick442.com earlier today.
Quadri who like every other players want to ply his trade outside the country shared his experience in the last U17 world Cup in Brazil stating that it was an experience to remember forever.
Quadri who only played against Australia in the competition said the reason he didn’t travel with the U20 team to Poland was due to his agent’s advice but assures his fans that he’ll be at the next edition of the U20 World Cup.
Quadri also said one of the lessons he learnt in Nigeria’s 3-1 loss to Netherlands in the second round is to always maintain playing position as that caused Nigeria the match. If the players had played to the coach’s instructions and maintained their playing position, it might have been a different result entirely.
Quadri who was playing for G12 Academy Lagos before and after the tournament says his selection and that of every other players who took part in the tournament was based on merit.
