British heavyweight boxer of Nigerian decent Anthony Oluwafeme Olaseni Joshua would be seeking redemption some hours from now, in Saudi Arabia against Mexico’s Andy Ruiz Junior.

Joshua was stunned by an oversized Ruiz on June 1st in a full capacity Madison Square Garden New York City at the 7th round by (TKO) technical knock out and had his unified WBA, IBF, WBO and IBF titles taken away from him.

The uncertainties surrounding the first match; Andy Ruiz coming in to replace Joshua’s initial opponent Jarrell Miller due to drugs and others made it possible for a rematch to be scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2019.

Joshua definitely now has some respect for the Mexican Ruiz Junior who landed and made him eat some tough shots in their first match-up earlier this year.

Despite Anthony Joshua having that reputation of a tough chin especially during his boxing match in 2017 against Ukraine’s Vladimir Klitschko, he now has immense respect for Ruiz Junior’s ‘one punch power.’

After coming in as an 11-1 underdog in the ‘June chronicle’ Ruiz is now an overwhelming favourite after he shattered AJ’s aura of invincibility on his own canvas.

Joshua has already floored Andy Ruiz once in the third round of their first match but that was hugely insignificant as the ‘pot belly’ Mexican came back to hunt him.

This is the moment ‘AJ’ has been preparing for since that stunning left hook earlier this year. The Nigerian of British decent needs all the good wishes he can get in this rematch against the Mexican/American also called the Andy Ruiz ‘The Destroyer’ tomorrow in the Middle East.
