2017 African of Nations winning captain Benjamin Moukandjo and Nicolas Nkoulou grew up together at the Kadji Sports Academy before following separate career paths that brought them back together with the Indomitable Lions later.

For Taddeus Nkeng and Boris Tarkang it has been an inseparable union since joining the Brasseries Football Academy in 2015.

20-year-old forward Taddeus Nkeng Fomakwang was born in Ndobo-Douala and was a student of a popular school in his neighborhood known as Konjibe, while 20-year-old midfielder Boris Enow Takang was born in Buea and schooled with the Bilingual Grammar School Molyko-Buea.

While Taddeus got into the popular Brasseries Football Academy through the Top Cup in Douala, the story was different for Boris.

He was a trainee with President Ndazeh Valery’s Cinyodev Academy of Buea. In a friendly game against the Brasseries Football Academy, Coach Oben Ojong Stephen of the Brasseries Football Academy was blown away by the physical attributes and football brain of the then 15 year old midfielder and brought him into the academy.

Three years in the Academy, under the tutelage of coach Oben Ojong, Taddeus and Boris created an inseparable bond.

In 2018 they were singled out during the Limbe Youth Tournament which the Brasseries Football Academy won, by scouts of FC Porto.

They signed for the two times UEFA Champions League winners and have progressed into their Reserves’ team [Porto B] which competes in the Portuguese second tier.

They hold each other in very high esteem as they do almost everything together with the help of 28-year-old Indomitable Lions’ striker Aboubakar Vincent who has been with Porto’s first team since 2014.

“Aboubakar is always there to give us good advise, and he is the one who showed us around the city since he knew it very well,” Boris told kick442.com.

“He advises us on how to look after our careers and always be professional,”Taddeus added.

They equally believe in themselves and each other to make it to the top and one day play for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

“Taddeus is a very good player with many qualities and a very good and friendly person too, he is more than a brother to me. I believe we can both make it to the top,” Boris said.

“Boris is a very good player with so many qualities. He is destined for the top. We both dream to one day represent our country in top international competitions and trophies,” Taddeus said.

This season, Boris has featured in 14 league games, scoring one goal while Taddeus has played 10 with a goal to his name as well.

Under Portuguese coach Rui Barros, they are currently 13th on the log with 29 points after 24 playing days.

They have both been called up in Cameroon’s youth teams already but their ultimate dream is to play for the senior team and win trophies.

Like Benjamin Moukandjo and Nicolas Nkoulou from the Kadji Sports Academy who jointly lifted the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon, Boris Enow Takang and Taddeus Nkeng Fomakwang from the Brasseries Football Academy dream of doing same one day.
