Continental FA of Buea have continued their brilliant start to the 2020 season in the Southwest Regional championship.

They narrowly edged Prisons Buea this Thursday afternoon in their matchday three fixtures played at the Buea Municipal Stadium.

Blaise Njeneh put the visitors ahead in the second minute of the game finishing a fine passage of play for Continental FA.

The goal lightened the derby with Prisons Buea looking enterprising but Continental’s goalkeeper Stephan’s Junior Njoke made two comfortable saves from Esome Lazare’s long range shots.

Captain Ekema Njoku of Prisons Buea FC was rocked solid at the back,his efficient defending skills stopped the Continental front line on multiple occasions within the first 20 minutes.

A 24th minute great shot on target from Prison’s Mohterry Makia was met by a great save from Stephen Junior Njoke who was having a great day on goal.

Prisons came close again in the 35th minute of the game but Kifuh John Budzi’s shot was kept out again by goalkeeper Stephen Junior Njoke.

Prisons was the better side in the midfield with Malviban Efome Lazare as the winner of most of the duels.

The center referee blast his whistle for the half time with Continental leading by one goal to nil.

The first six minutes of the second segment of the game went by without any meaningful goal mouth action.

Continental FA could have had their second goal of the game in the 30th minute but a good through ball was stopped by Carlson Sameh on goal for Prisons Buea.

Valdo Kawop came close again in the 80th minutes of the second half but his shot was saved.

Continental stopped the multiple incursions from the Home Boys front line in the last 10 and at full time, Continental FA celebrated as they won their third game of the season.
