Black Queens of Ghana captain, Elizabeth Addo has expressed her fears after their opponent at the 2022 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) Qualifiers, Super Falcons of Nigeria came back from 3-1 down to secure a 3-3 draw with Portugal at the 2021 Summer Series.
The Summer Series which has Nigeria, Portugal, United States of America Women National Team (USWNT), and Jamaica as participating teams is being used by the Super Falcons in preparation for their first-round AWCON 2022 Qualifiers against Black Queens of Ghana.
Elizabeth Addo in her tweet after Nigeria’s 3-3 draw opined that Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Sports Ministry should come to Black Queens’ aid with top friendly for them to be in top shape ahead of Nigeria’s clash.
Nine-time African the Champions, Nigeria suffered a 1-0 defeat to Jamaica and bounced back with a 3-3 draw against Portugal in their first two games at the 2021 Summer Series.
They will play World Champions, USWNT in their next game.
Black Queens of Ghana on the other hand don’t have any lined up game for the current women’s International window.
Nigeria and Ghana will rekindle their women’s football rivalry when both sides trade tackles in October as AWCON 2022 Qualifiers take centre stage across the continent.
