Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Montpelier full-back Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo will miss his Club’s match-day 11 encounter against Strasbourg.
This is as a result of double postponement of his return trip to France by the country’s national travel agency due to undisclosed reasons.
Oyongo is currently in Yaoundé-Cameroon and has been unable to leave the country as the scheduled airline company is yet to get the situation sorted out.
The 29-year-old is eager to return to France but lack of alternatives put this one completely out of his control.
It remains to be seen how Airfrance sorts the situation to enhance a quick return to Club for the versatile defender.
Oyongo participated in both of Cameroon’s 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Mozambique, by featuring in the 4-1 win in Douala but was an unused substitute in the reversed fixture in Maptuto which ended on a two-nil score on Monday.
The defender has been a regular in the Montpelier team this season and started the last two games before the international break.
