Frank Kom and his Esperance Tunis side have won their second trophy in a calendar year after getting across the line with a 2-1 win over country rivals CA Bizerte in Doha.
It was the second time within a couple of days that the Cameroonian international and his teammates stepped on the turf wishing to win a trophy.
Fellow-country man, Fabrice Ngah and his Raja Casablanca team beat E.S Tunis, in the CAF super cup, on Friday 29, before the CAF Champions league winners had the second bite at the cherry when they beat CA Bizerte in the Tunisian super cup, to make them the team with the most Tunisian cups (4) and counting in total.
Frank Kom has made the difference for this side. The versatile midfielder has the reputation of sitting back protecting his back 4 though, he has scored a 3 goals in 26 appearances.
Kom and his side are building a strong reputation for themselves. The 27-year-old metronome and his performances bring up a strong argument for players in the African continent, and how they should have an equal chance with those playing outside Africa.
Frank Kom is yet to sparkle in national colours, with over a 13 senior caps since 2014.The competition for the defensive midfield role is tough as at now, but the a reshuffle should be done so other elite players in the continent should be given a chance.
