Former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon defender Bill Jackson Mbiayi Tchato has taken to social media to encourage Cameroonians to employ some key measures to combat the spread of the CoronaVirus.
The former OGC Nice and Montpellier versatile defender took to social media on Wednesday to share tips on how he combats the deadly Virus.
The former Kaiserslautern fullback who serves as the Cordinator of the national football teams of Cameroon these days dropped a 100 seconds video. The video demonstrates how he goes about his daily activities vis-a-vis the fight against virus including how he uses the lift to get to and out of his home plus how to fabricate face masks for personal use.
The 44-year-old recorded the video from Yaoundé-Cameroon, where he works these days. Yaoundé is the most affected city in the country with over 400 cases recorded so far.
“Greetings to everyone,I have recorded this video from Yaounde where unfortunately, there have been multiple cases CoronaVirus infection”; Tchato began.
The 2002 AFCON winner carefully explained how he manages his daily activities with the use of a hand sensitizers gel.
Most importantly the former Valencia man dropped a new technique of using a tooth pick to request for the lift. This is especially important for persons living in homes where ascending and descending is done with the use of a lift.
Tchato has been very involved in the sensitisation of persons against the virus back in his home country. The retired footballer has previously shared another video with other employees of the Cameroon Football federation.
Cameroon has recorded 730 cases of persons with Convid-19 and 10 deaths so far.
It is hope the tips on the videos from a legend in the history of country’s Football will go a long way to push more Cameroonians to be more cautious.
This can go a long way to get more persons on board in the fight against the Covid-19 as government battles for Cameroonians to accept measures employed to combat the spread of the Virus.
A good number of people in the Central African nation are still to be convinced about the existence of the virus let alone acceptance of prevention measures.
Maybe these guides from a very respectable Tchato who featured in two AFCON finals, appeared at two FIFA Confederations cup tournament in an international career that lasted eight years with 46 caps will convince more Cameroonians to adopt the preventive measures.
The former Qatar SC man is is also popular abroad especially across Europe, having moved to the old continent at a young age and played for nine clubs in a 17 years career. Going by his popularity in the football, it possible for the video to guide many on the old continent.
