Potential Indomitable Lions of Cameroon forward Bienvenu Eva Nga of Chippa United FC was his side’s hero this Saturday in the South African top-flight championship clash away at Bloemfontein Celtic.
The striker scored late into the encounter to savage a point for a Chippa United side that was nearly made to pay for their poor finishing.
Celtic took the lead barely 11 minutes into the encounter through a converted penalty from Steven Letsoalo but the game had more drama later on.
Bienvenu Eva was introduced in the 40th minute of the game with his side trailing by one goal to nil.
Barely four minutes later, Mbhazima Rikhotso was sent off, leaving the host with ten men for over a half of the encounter.
Though Chippa United had a pair of good chances Bloemfontein Celtic managed to protect the advantage till the break.
Upon resumption, Eva Nga and his Chippa United colleagues dominated the encounter but yet again poor finishing delayed the reward for their efforts.
The visitors finally found their equalizer in the 73rd minute through their Cameroon striker Bienvenu Eva Nga off an assist from Riaan Hanamub.
Both sides had chances in the final quarter of the game but failed to get another goal leaving the full-time score at parity with both sides settling for a point.
Chippa United have picked up 14 points from 15 games this season ahead of their match 16 fixtures at home to TS Galaxy on Saturday.
27-year old Nga is the Club’s lead scorer this term with four goals and an assist in 11 games in the DSTV Premiership.
